True North VBS

Children age 4 (by 9/1/25 & potty-trained) through fifth grade (completed) are invited to join us for True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World.

Kids will be guided on the ultimate Alaskan adventure, where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. Jesus is our True North.

Young people who’ve completed 6th grade and up are invited to volunteer as youth leaders. Many adult leaders are also needed to make this ministry safe and successful! Youth and adults can register as a volunteer at the same link as participants. Background checks are required for all adult volunteers.

Registration is free. Good Shepherd works hard to ensure 100 children can participate in VBS for free every summer.

What is Vacation Bible School (VBS)?

Vacation Bible School is a day camp where kids get to explore God’s awesomeness, spend time with friends, and make new friends. There’s a new theme every summer, and each day has different activities to help kids experience God’s Word in fun and engaging ways. From snacks and crafts to experiments and dance, we hope there’s something for everyone at Vacation Bible School!
